ABOUT US

Our group, the Peninsula Pacers, have been putting on events on the Door County peninsula for nine years, with a strong focus on creating destination quality races, rides, and tournaments. With the Hey Hey 5k, we wanted to take our experience putting on elite-level events, but put it into a fun-filled race more accessible to casual runners.

We also relished the opportunity to work with our friends at the Door County Brewing Co. to create a race that honors the fun-loving spirit of a true Door County icon, Freddie Kodanko, the Polka King!
